The gateway to the coast of Kenya, Mombasa is one of the best travel destinations in Kenya. When Ibn Battuta visited Mombasa in the 14thcentury, it was a small commercial center, which later on became one of the most important port cities along the East African Coast.

Today Mombasa is the largest port in Kenya. Offering a vivacious mix of cultures, entertainment, and architecture, Mombasa is an excellent destination for travelers to explore. Haller Park is the largest wildlife park in Mombasa and houses a large variety of animals, birds, reptiles, and insects. After a hot breakfast in leisure, our driver guide will pick you and transfer you to Fort Jesus.

The Fort, built by the Portuguese in 1593 -1596 to the designs of Giovanni Battista Cairati to protect the port of Mombasa. This is one of the most outstanding and well-preserved examples of 16th Portuguese military fortification and a landmark in the history of this type of construction.

The Fort's layout and form reflected the Renaissance ideal that perfect proportions and geometric harmony are to be found in the human body. The property covers an area of 2.36 hectares and includes the fort's moat and immediate surroundings. After a tour in Fort Jesus, you will be transferred to Haller park for a tour around.

Haller Park, formerly known as Bamburi Nature Trail, was the man-made sanctuary to receive the United Nations Environmental Program Global 500 Roll of Honor Award and today this small reserve on the north coast of Mombasa is a model for other reclamation projects.

What was once limestone quarries is now a thriving ecosystem of forest, grasslands, and ponds with walking trails for you to view the fenced wildlife, such as hippo, giraffe, antelope, buffalo, and smaller mammals, as well as bird species, such as eagle, sandpiper, weaver, stork, kingfisher, ibis, owl, heron, egret and many others. The sections of the park include the game sanctuary, Reptile Park, fish farm, crocodile pens, giraffe viewing area, and palm gardens.

After the beautiful tour at Haller Park, you will then head to Mamba village. Where you will have a hot lunch and later have your tour.
Mamba village - Mamba Village is situated in Nyali, is East Africa's largest crocodile farm. Mamba Village Crocodile Farm.

The Tour of the farm starts with a movie on the life cycle and behavior of crocodiles, followed by a comprehensive tour of the rest of the farm, and ends with the highlight of the day: a spectacular scene of blood-thirsty crocodiles fighting for food during feeding time. Excellent cuisine is available at the Mamba Restaurant, and the house specialty is superbly grilled crocodile meat.

Souvenirs of your visit can be bought at the Mamba Souvenir shop located within the village. Mamba Village Crocodile Farm in Mombasa has crocodiles from all categories/stages, from giant (Big Daddy - Man eater) crocodiles to baby crocodiles (just hatched) and the white crocodiles. The farm has a feeding time schedule every day at 5 pm and it is incredible to see this experience as the crocodiles jump up a few meters from their pool to grab a bite of meat.
A tour to the farm would be wonderful and takes 2 and a half to three hours visiting the Crocodile farm, camel riding within the same compound, Horse riding, or the mamba restaurant which offers a wide range of crocodile meat and seafood.

Return later in the day to your place of accommodation.
