DAY 1: Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park
You will leave Kampala in the morning and go to Murchison Falls National Park.
You will have a stopover at Kabalega Dinners for breakfast and pausing from the drive. You will then proceed to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will track rhinos on foot and get to see the Rhinos as well as many other wild animals that stay here.
From Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, you will go ahead and continue the drive to Murchison Falls National Park Via Karuma. You will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and an afternoon of relaxing and getting settled in.
In the evening, you will go for an evening game drive where you get to see more animals such as elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes and so much more. You will return to your dinner and overnight at the lodge.
DAY 2: Morning Game drive, Afternoon Boat Cruise
You will wake up early in the morning for breakfast, after which you will depart for your morning game drive. This will be on the northern bank of the River Nile. The Open-roof safari vehicle will allow you to stand and easily view and take photos of the wild animals as well as the surrounding.
Your guide will help you spot elephant, lion, cape buffalo, Roth child’s giraffe, hartebeest, waterbuck, oribi, bushbuck, bohor reedbuck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard. Return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, go for a boat cruise at 2:30 pm upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls. You will stop a few meters from the 'Devils Cauldron' and experience the sheer power and strength of the Nile as it plummets 40 meters through a 7-meter gap.
On the cruise, you will be able to see schools of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and many other animals along the 17-kilometer stretch. This is also the zone of many birds, species like goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant, and the rare shoebill stork. You may choose to take a hike to the top of the falls.
Later, return to your lodge and relax in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the lodge
DAY 3: Top of the Falls Hike & Back to Kampala
After breakfast. depart the lodge for an early Game drive towards the ferry cross over with the ferry at around 10 am and drive to the top of the falls stopping at the top of the falls which is a fantastic sight.
Here the Nile, the longest river in the world, is forced through a narrow gap in the rock (only 7 meters wide), before ferociously plunging down into a frothing pool 40m below.
Proceed to Kampala with a stopover for lunch at Kabalega dinners. Arrive in Kampala later in the evening.
